Whether this problem is actual or psychosomatic, I think you can only help your health by trying to eliminate as many chemicals as you can. By the time the medical community catches up, it would be too late.

I can relate to Alyssa's story. My experience is very similar. I suffer from countless allergies and years of insomnia, with the main culprit being mold within the walls of my home. With my home being constantly sealed in to keep in the A/C, the allergens inside were very hazardous. Thanks for doing this story, I think it will help others.

Tell ON what you think.

This video is a little bit misleading. Multiple Chemical sensitivity is not due to allergies to chemicals and although you can have illness related to too much of anything and can be allergic to a chemical, exposure to any chemical will not cause illness.

They stated clearly that her illness was caused to overexposure to chlorine, benzine and formaldehyde. And once you have this illness then you will react to not only those but many other chemicals. As Alyssa stated, its different for everyone. Medical schools and most doctors are ill informed and dont represent their patients best interest. If you truly want to help as a doctor, maybe you should let someone with this disease live in your home and accommodate their needs and learn directly from them, your own focus group.
